Welcome
Coronavirus
Call your VA medical center before going to a clinic, urgent care, or emergency room, especially if you have symptoms of fever, cough and shortness of breath. Calling first helps us protect you, medical staff, and other patients. Ask your VA health care team about the option of care by phone or video instead of an in-person visit. We also ask that visitors who feel unwell postpone their visits to VA facilities.

National Service Officers
One of AMVETS most visible support services is our network of trained national service officers (NSO’s). NSO’s are accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs and funded by the AMVETS National Service Foundation. These dedicated men and women can be found in almost all states. NSO’s offer free advice and prompt action on compensation claims to veterans. Recently AMVETS national service officers processed more than 74,000 claims/year.
